Wellness in the Library Workplace

For dedicated library workers committed to empowering their communities with valuable health information, prioritizing personal well-being is essential. Recognizing the interconnectedness between individual and community well-being underscores the importance of fostering a healthy workplace environment.

Join us for a comprehensive 2-week, 4-CE class designed to explore strategies for enhancing well-being and cultivating healthy work environments. If you hold a supervisory role, your involvement is particularly crucial in ensuring the holistic health of your staff, encompassing both physical and emotional aspects.

Throughout the first week, participants will delve into the evidence supporting the significance of a healthy workplace, benefiting not only individual staff members but also the library and the wider community. Discussions will focus on distinguishing between effective and ineffective practices in creating a healthy work environment.

In the second week, attendees will gain practical insights into individual adjustments to promote workplace health and well-being. Additionally, we will explore initiatives at the team and organizational levels aimed at fostering the wellness of all library staff, thereby cultivating a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
