TechQuity Project Award $25,000

The purpose of the TechQuity Project Award is to deliver technology improvement and health and digital equity to underserved communities impacted by the digital divide via technology funding and online resource training.

Health Information Outreach Award $20,000

The purpose of the Health Information Outreach Award is to provide support for projects that improve health information literacy and increase the ability of patients, family members, students and members of the public to find and use health information; or improve health professionals’ access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high-quality biomedical and health information. Awards should focus on building partnerships, collaborating with local community groups, and other key groups to reach underserved populations in the region with health information outreach projects.

Data Science and Services Project Award $25,000

The award’s primary aim is to focus on projects that stimulate innovations in biomedical knowledge or data science, information, or research services. The programs are intended to help a variety of users, with a focus on minority and other underrepresented populations and the health professionals who serve them, make the most effective use of information and decision-support resources that hold the promise of promoting healthy behaviors, preventing costly and debilitating illness, and improving health outcomes when disease occurs. Project should be in support of the NLM 2017-2027 Strategic Plan.

Professional Development Award $2,000

The purpose of the Professional Development Award is to strengthen the professional knowledge and experience of individual network members in data science or health information access/delivery and to build professional capacity in support of the goals of the NNLM.

NNLM Region 4 Community Engagement Ambassador $50,000

The purpose of this award is to fund a community engagement ambassador who is able to assist and advise the NNLM Region 4 team design strategies that increase our ability to develop meaningful connections with various priority populations within the region. Ambassadors with community engagement expertise working with underserved and underrepresented populations will collaborate in developing NNLM Region 4 strategies designed to engage with priority populations and health and/or information professionals(e.g.

All of Us Community Award for Digital Information Access $40,000

This award will support NNLM members to broaden online health information access in their community through technology and programs. Projects will increase community skills in health literacy, digital literacy, and/or public understanding of clinical research.

All of Us Community Award for Health Programming $15,000

This award will support NNLM members to design and implement virtual and/or hybrid (virtual and in-person) programming to increase community skills in health literacydigital literacy, and/or public understanding of clinical research.

Professional Development Awards $2,000

The purpose of this award is to support the professional development needs of librarians/information professionals and library/information school students* at NNLM Region 4 member institutions to improve their ability to grow and advance their skills as health information professionals.
*Supports travel awards for students and health occupation students interested in a health information career.
