Equitable Access to Telehealth Effingham Public Library - Illinois Since June 2020, the Effingham Public Library has been providing case management services for our community. While this program was born out of the unique needs presented by the pandemic, the needs of our community have continued to evolve. One of the emerging areas of need is access to telehealth and mental health services. Since we serve primarily a rural community, access to broadband and the required technology to support a telehealth appointment are not available to all community members. In addition, awareness of these types of appointments is also low.… Illinois
ESLN Technology: Improving Access to Information and Training for Libraries and Community Members in the Rochester Region Rochester Regional Library Council (RRLC) The Rochester Regional Library Council will improve and upgrade our technological capacity in order to provide a better experience for in person, online, and hybrid meetings and training and to provide better access to information. This will enable the council to provide a more engaging experience for people attending our events, and will allow us to travel to offsite locations with technology kits to support online and hybrid events at member locations. We expect this upgrade to increase access to health information and strengthen communication and connectivity for health. Training… New York
ESLN Technology: Expanding Southeastern Training Southeastern New York Library Resources Council (SENYLRC) The Expanding Southeastern Training project will allow our council to offer professional development trainings simultaneously remotely and in-person. Consequently, this will expand access to these trainings for the library workers and healthcare professionals who attend them—including those who serve underrepresented populations. In fiscal year 2020/2021, Southeastern hosted 83 programs that served 1,462 people. Since the onset of the pandemic, all of these programs have been remote because of safety reasons. It is also increasingly difficult for people to leave their… New York
ESLN Technology: Mobile Telepresence Education Platform Northern New York Library Network (NNYLN) The shift to 100% virtual learning events during the pandemic taught us that as much as our members value getting together in person, online events allow for much more participation. The Northern NY Library Network’s region spans 11,000 square miles, making travel significant for some of our members with any in-person event. Going forward, we want the best of both worlds: we want to resume meeting up in person for training events to promote long-term relationship-building and collaboration, but we want events to remain accessible to remote attendees. The equipment purchased… New York
ESLN Technology: High-speed Scanner METRO - Metropolitan New York Library Council The proposed project is to enable the NYAM to purchase a high-speed scanner, which will allow quicker access to the medical-related materials in our library. New York
