Wellness in the Library Workplace (January 20 - 31, 2025) | January 20, 2025 - January 31, 2025 | Join us for this 2-week, 4 credit-hour online class to discover ways to improve your own personal well-being and create a healthy workplace. We will discuss ways to increase overall wellness for all staff in libraries so that we have happy, healthy, and safe work environments. This class meets the NLM national initiative of environmental determinants of health by addressing aspects of the work environment by providing health information resources available through MedlinePlus and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health and increasing health information access.

Wikipedia + Libraries: NNLM (January 21 - February 21, 2025) | January 21, 2025 - February 21, 2025 | Gain insight into the value of Wikipedia as a viable reference and build the skills and knowledge needed to evaluate articles, with a specific focus on health and medical topics in a self-paced, online class over four weeks. Expect to spend about 2 hours a week exploring through discussion forums, readings, tutorials, and learn about the #CiteNLM Wikipedia edit-a-thon and the free resources, programming and training that NNLM offers to libraries. This class addresses increasing health information access and use, and the NNLM initiatives of confronting health misinformation and citizen science by engaging communities in editing Wikipedia health-related articles with well-sourced additions, and gaining insight into the value of Wikipedia as a viable reference tool for health and medical topics.
