Mental Health in the Workplace

Class Experience Level
Beginner, Intermediate

Many of us spend 40 or more hours a week at work, so it is not surprising that the workplace affects our mental health and well-being.

The first half of this 1-hour webinar will look at how to improve workplace mental health and wellbeing following the U.S. Surgeon General framework of 5 essential components for workplace mental health and wellbeing. The second half will explore the 8 dimensions of health we can use as individuals to improve our mental health and well-being.

Objectives:
  • Know the Surgeon General’s recommendations for improving mental health and well-being at work
  • Understand the 8 parts of SAHMSA’s Creating a Healthier Life. A Step-By-Step Guide to Wellness for individuals
  • Know and locate resources from NLM, NIH and other organizations related to mental health and well-being.
