Innovative Mentoring Programs to Diversify the Nursing Workforce Midlands of South Carolina Black Nurses Association, Inc. The Midlands of South Carolina Black Nurses Association will host its third annual scholarship luncheon in December 2023. Using reliable and timely data, this event will highlight the current nursing workforce and discuss innovative approaches and strategies to create a more diverse nursing workforce. Midlands of SC Black Nurses Association will provide updates on its Mini Nurse Academy and its student nurse mentoring program by Prisma Health Scholars (in development). Introducing a Community Health Worker in Southeast Idaho  Bingham Memorial Hospital - Library Hispanics are a large and growing population in southeast Idaho, but they are severely underserved. Most avoid healthcare facilities due to linguistic, financial, and cultural barriers. Consequently, the Latinx community does not have access to quality health information. Doctors, nurses, and specialists have a responsibility to provide correct data to the public. Keiki Heroes: Expanding the Reach of Translated Public Health Information for Children Hawaii Public Health Institute “Keiki Heroes” is a community empowerment initiative from the Hawaii Public Health Institute (HIPHI) that aims to provide Hawai’i’s keiki (children) with printed activity and coloring books that encourage habits that keep them healthy and safe. The project seeks to create, translate, and distribute “Keiki Heroes” materials in languages other than English, including Pacific Islander and Asian languages. Kellogg-Hubbard Library Website Redesign Kellogg-Hubbard Library Founded in 1894, the Kellogg-Hubbard Library has served continuously as a public library in Central Vermont for almost 130 years. Located in Montpelier and currently serving the member towns of Berlin, Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex, Montpelier, and Worcester, the KHL has a service population of about 17,000 and is one of the most-utilized public libraries in Vermont.
