Dementia Awareness for Public Libraries

This interactive presentation will introduce library staff to the National Library of Medicine resources, enhance understanding of the public library's role in supporting families living with dementia, and present an opportunity to contribute to our understanding of the disease by participating in the All of Us Research Program. Presented by gerontologist and adult educator Christine Damon, who has trained nationally on dementia care, participants will also learn strategies to help libraries and their staff become more supportive of people with dementia and their care partners.
