Learn about research data management (RDM) in this introductory, 4-hour, on-demand class, including the best practices for librarians supporting researchers as well as the elements most important to document, store, and preserve data. You will also learn about the field in general, and why RDM is important. This module also covers file naming conventions, data documentation, and active data storage and management strategies during the research process.
This is an on-demand class. All the lessons are open and available to work through at your own pace and on your own schedule. You will engage with the course through learning materials, including readings, videos and knowledge checks. This course is designed as a standalone learning experience, you will not receive instructor feedback on your work.
