This course is a series of 8 virtual events and a supplemental online course that provide an empowering environment for anyone to learn about and discuss issues related to racial equity. Each module is an opportunity to explore a referential and constructive framework, to analyze the complexity and pervasiveness of racism, and to reflect on what you can do to advance racial equity in our institutions and communities.
Course content is presented through 8 live webinars occurring on Tuesdays from 10am-noon ET, beginning January 21 through March 11, 2025. In addition, learners can engage in weekly Reflection Conversations in the Moodle course management system. Reflection conversations are journal prompts to look inward and build community with other learners.
Participants in this series can receive a certificate of completion by attending at least 6 live sessions, and completing a post-series survey.
Registration preference is given to NNLM members in Region 1 (Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia).
