Enhancing AI Interactions: Leveraging the CLEAR Framework for Effective Prompting

The ability to craft precise and effective prompts is crucial for maximizing the utility of generative AI models such as ChatGPT.  Speaker Bio: 

Dr. Leo Lo is the Dean of the College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences at the University of New Mexico. His work focuses on developing AI competencies, and training programs for library and higher education professionals. As the current President of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL), Dr. Lo has established a national task force to develop a set of AI competencies. Dr. Lo holds a doctorate degree in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania, and a MLIS from Florida State University. 

This presentation meets the NNLM goal to “Work through libraries and other members to support a highly trained workforce for biomedical and health information resources and data” by increasing participant knowledge about AI utilization tools to improve the ability of teaching and supporting patrons.
