Leukemia and Lymphoma
Leukemia is a broad term for cancers of the blood cells originating in the bone marrow. The type of leukemia depends on the type of blood cell that becomes cancer and whether it grows quickly or slowly.
Lymphoma is a broad term for cancer that begins in cells of the lymph system. The two main types are Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).
The NNLM Reading Club has selected three personal stories of persons who faced leukemia. Discuss their heartfelt journey while discovering information about promising research and treatments to treat and ultimately cure these cancers.
