Preparados Ante la Tormenta

Preparados Ante la Tormenta is an initiative led by Apoyo y Servicios Integrados Inc. (ASI) to enhance the resilience and preparedness of Puerto Rico's vulnerable communities in anticipation of the 2024 hurricane season. Through a series of public events and informational tours from June to August, ASI will focus on low-income areas along Puerto Rico's west coast. These interactive learning events aim to educate residents on emergency preparedness, ensuring timely evacuations and potentially saving lives. Collaborating with the National Library of Medicine, the state office of emergency preparedness, the project will distribute critical educational materials and deliver training on how to withstand and recover from hurricanes. This initiative is crucial for improving community awareness and preparedness, particularly in medically underserved and traditionally underrepresented populations.
