Maternal Health Literacy Program

As a community organization partnered with Delaware Adolescent Program, Westside Health, and La Red for childbirth and lactation education community classes, our Maternal Health Literacy program is dedicated to addressing the knowledge gap among pregnant individuals by providing accessible education on health information vocabulary. Recognizing that birthing people often face misinformation and lack of understanding in health terminology, our program focuses on delivering clear and comprehensible information essential for navigating pregnancy, birth, and postpartum stages. Through collaborative efforts, we offer community classes designed to empower participants with the necessary knowledge and skills regardless of their educational background or reading level. By utilizing inclusive language and partnering with local healthcare experts, we aim to ensure that every pregnant individual can confidently comprehend and engage with their healthcare journey, promoting safer and healthier outcomes for both parent and child.
