Mental Health tools for NJ Health Connect

Building upon the foundation and partnerships started with our statewide pandemic response program, NJ Health Connect @Your Library, New Jersey State Library (NJSL) will provide mental health trainings designed for library staff and a digital toolkit designed to be used both by library staff and patrons. In this project, we want to concentrate on mental health resources and training. Our goals are to help people make informed choices about healthcare, find reliable, understandable resources, and access a healthcare professional when appropriate.

Project activities include four virtual, on-demand webinars and ten in-person, one-day training sessions for library staff. Our health science librarians and marketing team will also create a digital toolkit of resources that can be hosted locally by libraries on their own websites and devices, or accessed directly on the NJSL website. We plan to publicize all of these activities using our normal communication channels and conduct follow-up evaluations of users.
