Community Engagement in Health via Expanded and Updated Technology 2024-2025

The Peacham Library seeks to improve access to healthcare and medical information in our community. Internet service coverage varies within the town and cell service is poor. Internet access has become a necessity of life. When people cannot access the internet from their homes (poor service or none at all), the library is the place to go. Chief uses are for employment, education and health. In some cases people may choose to use a public computer for the sake of privacy, or because they may need assistance, or there is a temporary need, such as a power outage, or traveling away from home. With updated equipment we can facilitate easier access to research information on topics pertinent to them. We also plan to update our website to include links to reliable health information. This includes information from NNLM, NLM, and about the Research Program.
