Goal 1: San Diego Public Library, in collaboration with Circuit Libraries, will partner with the NNLM All of Us Program Center and All of Us, UCSD to host 3 climate focused author talks in different Circuit Libraries, in order to engage with community members in enrollment and retention for the All of Us Research Program.

Goal 2: San Diego Public Library, in collaboration with Circuit Libraries, will fill a language gap by sharing information sources through an online climate resilience health information guide, translate resources into multiple languages, and offer library services that empower community members to address climate change.

San Diego Public Library, in collaboration with Circuit Libraries, will host 3 community author talks focused on advancing climate resilience, sustainability, and environmental justice. Each talk includes a virtual component and onsite translation. Authors are selected based on recommendations from subject matter experts and community partners. The project will partner with All of Us, UCSD to promote enrollment, retention, and engagement by sharing All of Us information at the 3 author events, at tabling opportunities throughout the year, sharing flyers in each of our library locations, and linking to All of Us on the climate resilience health guide.

The projects intended audience includes residents in communities of concern that scored low on the San Diego County Health Places Index, the San Diego Climate Equity Index, and those most impacted by climate change, including low income residents, those with limited English speaking, immigrants, people of color, rural and urban populations, and the library staff that serve these populations.
