(Ronda Herbert) Diabetic Lifestyle Coach Training


This course provides training to deliver the Prevent T2 curriculum as a CDC-Recognized Lifestyle Coach in a diabetes prevention program.

CDC-recognized lifestyle change programs must have Lifestyle Coaches who are trained to use a CDC-approved curriculum and who have the knowledge and skills to effectively deliver the program. The Lifestyle Coach’s ability to support participants, provide guidance, and help groups work together effectively is essential for a successful lifestyle change program. Lifestyle change coaches are trained to use a CDC-approved curriculum and have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively deliver the program.

With this training I can provide reliable information and events to individuals who are prediabetes to equip them with reliable information and training to prevent diabetes. Individuals can learn about health form a variety of sources however is that source reliable. Taking this course and becoming a health coach can assist me in providing reliable information to individuals who are at risk for diabetes and provide reliable information to this group, improving individuals' access to information to enable them to make informed decisions about their health.
