BML Technology Support
The BML owns a wide selection of rare medical manuscripts and artifacts, dating back to as early as the 1200s. We seek to make our collection (see bml.org/collections for more details), accessible to the medical community (students, historians, practioners, etc.) and to do so will need equipment for digitization and related activities. Partnering with UMASS Chan library and medical faculty, we also intend to activate our collection as an important part of medical education and training with materials that will be used for medical humanities and history of medicine (among others). All of these efforts requires we fully catalogue and digitize our collection. The technology request will serve to help finance this important endeavor.
