Region One Insights: Neurodiversity In Action: Opening Doors Through Sustainable Agriculture | Neurodiversity in Action: Opening Doors Through Sustainable Agriculture focuses on developing an understanding of Controlled Environment Agriculture (indoor, hydroponic farming) and the role it plays in both a local community and the autism community. Greens Do Good, the first indoor hydroponic farm in New Jersey dedicated to training and employing autistic teens and adults, will walk the audience through the initial phases of farm and program development while showcasing an opportunity to impact communities facing food insecurity. |
Substance Use Disorder in Forcibly Displaced Populations | This webinar will review current data on refugee mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) and present a relevant case. Wellness in the Library Workplace (September 16 - 27, 2024) | Registration opens June 28. Join us for this 2-week, 4 credit-hour online class to discover ways to improve your own personal well-being and create a healthy workplace. We will discuss ways to increase overall wellness for all staff in libraries so that we have happy, healthy, and safe work environments. This class meets the NLM national initiative of environmental determinants of health by addressing aspects of the work environment by providing health information resources available through MedlinePlus and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health and increasing health information access. |
