Fundamentals of Health Data Science Each module will contain readings (e.g., articles, book chapters, videos, website content), a discussion board for learners to answer questions about the materials, and an assignment. Learners will also meet a handful of times with community experts, experienced data science librarians, to discuss the field and class assignments.
Fundamentals of Health Sciences Research Data Management This 9-week course offered in Moodle is designed to provide information professionals working in health sciences with an introduction to research data management. The primary goal of this course is to improve your knowledge and skills in research data management and enable you to add or enhance research data management training and services at your institution.
Navigating New Norms: Harnessing Generative AI for Library Services and Solutions Libraries are navigating new norms by leveraging generative artificial intelligence to enhance their services and adapt to changing user behaviors and needs. This is a short course of 4 sessions designed to equip librarians with the knowledge and skills needed to automate efforts in advancing analytics, creating content, and answering library users' questions. Register to embark on a journey exploring the nuts and bolts of generative AI, from its foundational concepts to practical applications in library settings.
NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy Overview The NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy requires funded researchers to submit a plan outlining how scientific data from their research will be managed and shared. This session is intended for information professionals who are unfamiliar with this policy and it will review the policy components and how you can prepare to address the policy at your institution. Topics to be covered include the context for the policy, the scope, the various components of the policy, institutional considerations for working with the policy in place, and tools and resources already available to help.
