Title: Transgender and Gender-Nonbinary Sexual and Reproductive Health

Description: Healthcare providers often make incorrect assumptions about the reproductive and sexual health needs of their transgender and gender-nonbinary patients. In this webinar, participants will learn the principles of taking a transgender-inclusive sexual health history. We will also review evidence-based counseling for gender-diverse people regarding fertility, contraception, and cervical cancer screening.
Speaker: Miles Harris, FNP-BC, (he/him) is a trans and nonbinary-identified Family Nurse Practitioner in Sacramento, California, where he serves as the Director of Gender-Affirming Care at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at University of California Davis and the Lead Provider for Transgender Health at One Community Health. Prior to moving to California, he worked in NYC at the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery. When not at work, he enjoys cross stitching and long-distance runs.
