This position supports two separate National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) programs: the NNLM Pacific NW Region program (NNLM PNR); and the national NNLM Evaluation Office (NEO), while conducting business under one UW cooperative agreement grant with the sponsor NLM. The cooperative agreement entails departmental, University, state, NIH, and federal policies and regulations. This position is critical to the development, organization, submission, reporting and monitoring of NNLM PNR and NEO proposals to the sponsor and sponsor-approved subawards, requiring leadership and expert guidance within the department and amongst the academic and community organizations served by the program. Areas of responsibility include: developing and writing proposals and external communications; compiling and writing annual progress reports; providing pre- and post-award management for the primary award and sub awards; and managing budget allocations and fiscal procedures in compliance with UW and NLM cooperative agreement policies and regulations. The UW NNLM program is housed in the Health Sciences Library (HSL), a unit of the University Libraries. The HSL is a leader among the national community of academic health sciences libraries and has long been known for innovative information management programs and services. This is a full-time professional staff position.
