The National Network of Libraries of Medicine is partnering with the Public Library Association to present a full day preconference! Stand Up for Health: Health & Wellness Services for Your Community Tuesday, March 20, 2018 - 9 AM to 5 PM
PLA is offering a limited number of stipends to public librarians interested in attending the preconference to support travel to the meeting! Also, public librarians who take the class will receive a certificate for level one Consumer Health Information Specialization through the Medical Library Association at no cost, sponsored by NNLM!
Open Enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace
November 1st – December 15th, 2017
The Open Enrollment period for the Health Insurance Marketplace is set to continue as usual. Please note, however that the Open Enrollment time period is short this year. It begins November 1st – December 15th. Plans that are available through Open Enrollment begin January 1, 2018. Job based plans may have different Open Enrollment periods. Be sure to check with your employer. Plans and prices should be ready to preview soon. The PNR Affordable Care Act webpage includes information about the ACA for each state and special populations.
