Interactive Health Literacy and Consumer Health Exhibit

The Myra Mahon Patient Resource Center PRC staff propose to promote awareness and improved health literacy among its public populations by developing an interactive and traveling exhibit devoted to health literacy and consumer health with online video tutorial components of MedlinePlus and other NLM resources made available on the PRC YouTube Channel. They plan to debut the Interactive Health Literacy and Consumer Health Exhibit Exhibit and promote the video tutorials at the annual 3rd Avenue Street Fair in Manhattan. The Exhibit will also travel' to strategic locations in NYPH to reach patients, caregivers and hospital staff, as well as WCM sites to reach faculty and students in the medical college. The Exhibit will be lent to other institutional members of NNLM MAR to help promote the importance of health literacy.
