Patient safety measures often focus on avoiding harm to patients, but patients do not all define or experience safety in the same way. This webinar explores clinical and institutional definitions of patient safety and describes patient definitions of safety and trust collected from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) funded Postnatal Patient Safety Learning Lab. The webinar will discuss the connection between safety, trust, and patient health behaviors, and introduce two models for understanding positive safety and information marginalization in healthcare.
