June received her Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Washington and Doctor of Science in Social Epidemiology from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. She coordinated a statewide tobacco study to understand risk and protective factors of smoking in California. She has also managed several state and federal grants serving at risk population for diabetes, hypertension, and mental illness. Most recently, she worked at the King County Department of Community and Human Services and led departmental evaluation efforts for programs serving children and families, veterans, and people experiencing homelessness. June is interested in social determinants of health and improving health disparities by increasing access to services and information.
