Margot Malachowski (she/hers) is an Education and Outreach Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, New England Region (NER) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. She started working with NER in February 2017.

Prior to her work with NER, Margot worked as the Community Outreach Librarian for Baystate Health in Springfield, MA from 2008-2016. Baystate Health is an integrated health care system that includes a Level 1 Trauma Center, community hospitals, medical practices and outpatient programs. From 1996-2008, she worked in public libraries in Amherst, MA, Carrboro, NC and Durham, NC.

At NER, Margot supports hospital libraries, public libraries, senior centers, adult literacy programs and public health organizations. She writes articles and book chapters on collaborating with public libraries, libraries and health literacy, and searching for integrative medicine information.   She has delivered posters, lightning presentations and panel discussions at the American Library Association Annual Conference, Artists in Context National Conference, Connecticut Public Library Association Annual Conference, Connecticut Public Health Association Annual Meeting, Dartmouth College Library October Conference, Maine Library Association Annual Conference, Massachusetts Library Association Annual Conference, Medical Library Association Annual Meeting, National Health Promotion Summit, North Atlantic Health Sciences Library Conference, Public Library Association Conference, Rhode Island Library Association Annual Conference and Vermont Library Association Annual Conference.
