PubMed for the Rest of Us: Searching the Medical Literature for the Non-Expert

Course Description

This class covers basic searching; easy techniques for developing complex search strategies; PubMed's special features, such as Limits and the Clipboard; the Journals Database; the Single Citation Matcher; and MyNCBI. It also covers how to obtain full-text copies of articles. (3 MLA CE)


Learn how to search MEDLINE using PubMed. This includes:

  • Basic Searching
  • Using Limits and field searching
  • The Single Citation Matcher and the Journals Database
  • How to order full-text copies of the article
  • Save and store searches using MyNCBI
