For questions, please contact our office: HSHSL-NLMsea@hshsl.umaryland.edu
Health literacy underpins everything we do in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. We have online training and webinars of interest to health professionals regarding clear health communication and resources for interacting with low literate health patients. Health literacy is the capacity to: obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services, make appropriate health care decisions (act on information), and access and navigate the health care system.
