Tony Nguyen, MLIS, AHIP
Access and Communications Coordinator
Tony is responsible for emerging technologies and our communications programs. His primary outreach population is to health and health information professionals within the region performing outreach, training, and program management. Tony is the ex-officio of the Emergency Preparedness Special Advisory Group and responsible for teaching the Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Planning courses in person and online. In addition to the Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Planning courses, he is responsible for classes offered to Health and Health Information Professionals, including all PubMed and Evidence-Based Medicine classes.
Tony’s professional interests include information policy, evidence-based medicine, information seeking behaviors of minority populations, and cross-discipline approaches to support the information needs of various population groups.
