Moulage 3-D Digitization and Preservation Project

The goals of the project are to create digital 3-D models of 300 of the medical moulages in the Scott & White collection of 1300 and take measures to preserve the entire collection in acid-free archival storage materials. The project will allow the archivist and medical illustrator to photograph the moulages, use a computer program to create 3-D digital images from the photographs, and put the 3-D digital images online. The moulages will then be stored in acid-free wrapping materials and boxes in a monitored and climate controlled archival area.
