ECHO Improving Low-SES Older Adults' Ability to Evaluate the Quality on Online Health Information

The goal of this project is to improve the ability of older adult patrons of public libraries to evaluate the quality of online health information in order to make more informed decisions about their health care. This will be accomplished through the creation of an interactive multimedia tutorial on the evaluation of online health information; increased awareness of and training on NLM resources and databases for older adults; and increasing collaboration and partnership between public libraries in the Austin, TX area and the information science program at the University of Texas at Austin.
