Texas A&M to Host Evidence-based Public Health Workshop

The Texas A&M University Medical Sciences Library in College Station, Texas will host an all-day class, “Evidence-based Public Health Workshop: Applications for Practice” on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM.

The audience is anyone with a public health role in their community. Topics include: formulating the search for evidence, selecting resources, hands on searching with case studies, appraising the evidence and integrating it into practice. Presenters are:  Margaret J. Foster, MS, MPH; Becky McKay, MA, MLIs; Catherine Pepper, MLIS, MPH; and Suzanne Shurta, MLIS. The attendance fee is $20 which covers lunch, parking and 3 CEUs.
