Attending the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting in Washington, DC? Be sure to attend some of the many National Library of Medicine (NLM) events. NLM staff along with staff from the National Institutes of Health and National Network of Libraries of Medicine will be on hand and participating in a variety of programming opportunities including presentations, poster presentations and even CE classes. Of course, one of the easiest ways to keep up with NLM resources is by attending the NLM Theater sessions. Get resource updates from NLM staff at Booth 115.

This year the Joseph Leiter Lecture will take place in the Lister Hill Auditorium on the campus of the National Library of Medicine. This prestigious lecture will feature John D. Halamka, chief information officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, chief information officer at Harvard Medical School, chairman of the New England Healthcare Exchange Network (NEHEN), chair of the US Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HIT-SP)/co-chair of the HIT Standards Committee. Halamka will address the role of the National Library of Medicine in advancing health care information technology in the future.
