New Report Provides Overview of Nation’s Health
“Health, United States, 2009,” the federal government’s 33rd annual report to the president and Congress on the health of all Americans, provides 150 data tables covering the spectrum of health topics.
The report was prepared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) from data gathered by state and federal health agencies and through ongoing national surveys. In a Chartbook and 150 detailed tables, the report provides an annual picture of the health of the entire United States. Trends are presented for health status and health care utilization, resources, and expenditures. This year’s report includes a special feature on medical technology.
