PubMed Limits Updated

The PubMed limits page has been redesigned with a new interface and enhanced limit options. The “new” limit selections are limits that were already possible in PubMed, if the user knew the field tags. The redesign will make limiting a search easier for novice searchers since all limits are easily accessible from the limits tab. Using the redesigned limits tab, searchers can limit to citations with free full text, by author or by journal. Many of the limit names have also changed. For example, the Publication Type limit (under the previous version of the limits) limit is now called “Type of Article” All of the original publication type limits (Clinical Trial, Editorial, Letter, Meta-Analysis, Practice Guideline, Randomized Controlled Trial, and Review) are still available but searchers can now easily limit to a wider variety of types including Bibliography, Case Report, Evaluation Studies and Interviews. More information can be found on the new limit features by access the PubMed Help Book. PubMed Limit Help
