Healthy Information Partnership in the Republic of the Marshall Islands

Pacific Resources for Education and Learning partnered with health and social service providers in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) to carry out a community assessment survey that was... designed to gather information about health priorities in the RMI. The survey took into account priorities previously identified by local health and education authorities as well as WHO?s national health priorities. The survey addressed health service delivery and access to care, the cultural element in health, health education methods, agency roles, health challenges and current practices, and current knowledge of health and prevention. Based on examination of the results, stakeholders developed an implementation plan to respond to address top concerns.
