Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Virtual Nutrition & Food Literacy Program

The Virtual Nutrition and Food Literacy Program will address the health information needs of the communities serviced by the Miami-Dade Public Library System by offering two portable kitchen carts that will be used for creating culturally relevant virtual cooking and culinary demonstration events. The acquisition of the kitchen carts will also allow for in-person events post-Covid, expanding the library's repertoire of programming to include more food and nutrition literacy that addresses the community’s health and wellness.
