Express Outreach: HEALTH REACH: Technology as a Pathway for Better Senior Health Access

The overall goal of the project is to improve consumer health literacy for Whitman county seniors by promoting access to credible health information resources through interactive training with healthcare and library professionals. The project will provide training sessions on electronic health information resources, with an emphasis on NLM databases. This project will also improve access to medical information for seniors via the National Institute on Aging toolkit, the CDC, National Health Institutes, and regional library services; integrate clinical care with patient education; enhance health records through quality information services; and encourage consumer engagement in health care.
