Professional Development: PubMed for Trainers, Guo

Award allows librarian to attend National Library of Medicine Training Center (NTC) PubMed for Trainers (PMT) at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT, on September 18, 2013. Awardee statement: Idaho State University (ISU) is a Carnegie-classified doctoral research high and teaching institution. ISU offers access to high-quality education in more than 280 programs. Almost 14,500 students attend ISU, receiving education and training in those programs. ISU is the state?s designated lead institution in health professions and medical education. There are only two health sciences librarians at ISU who provides health library and information services to health sciences students and faculty and healthcare professionals for the State of Idaho. I am one of them. Therefore, both the class is particularly relevant to the goals of my institution and they will help me update the knowledge and skills to better provide PubMed training to my patrons both at the University and local physicians and health communities in Idaho.
