Technology Improvement: Tablet Mania Part II
This project expands the mobile device program piloted with a previous award. In that project, Univ of Washington Health Sciences Library (UW HSL) tested tablets in various settings and contexts relevant to librarians? roles in medical education and clinical practice. Based on lessons learned, Tablet Mania Part II will fully implement use of tablet devices by supplying every librarian with an iPad or Galaxy Tab. The primary goal is to enable librarians to experiment with technology in ways that will promote their roles in medical education and clinical practice and improve the delivery of UW HSL service. Sustained plans after 6 months are to provide recommendations for the continued use of mobile devices in the library, and to create a mobile web app for the Health Sciences Library website.
