Welcome Ronald Buie, the new NNLM Evaluation Office (NEO) Assistant Director

Please join us in welcoming Ronald Buie! Ronald joined the NNLM Evaluation Office (NEO) on August 1, 2018. In this role, he will continue to develop the NNLM’s capacity to use data to measure program impact and shape future program development. He is based in Seattle at the University of Washington Health Sciences Library. 

Ronald received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Text from Abilene Christian University in 2003, his Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in 2009, and his Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics from Western Governors University in 2016. In 2018, he graduated with a Master of Science in Biomedical and Health Informatics from the University of Washington. Ronald's work at UW has included conducting qualitative research on consumer access to health information, developing data dictionaries for the WA Department of Health, and researching comparative effectiveness of interventions on infectious disease with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. His thesis research was on the use of inter-clinician variation to improve the design and use of healthcare performance measures.
