NNLM SEA Supports Member Work with Remote Area Medical Clinics

NNLM SEA has provided funding to East Tennessee State University (ETSU) librarians to promote consumer health information at Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinics. RAM clinics are held across the country and provide a range of health services including dental, vision and general medical care, depending on the clinic location. At recent RAM clinics in Gray, Tennessee and Wise, Virginia, ETSU librarians worked with organizers and volunteers to provide consumers with handouts on various health conditions and topics, as well as the opportunity to have more specific health information mailed directly to them.  Read more about ETSU’s work at these RAM clinics.
