Health and Technology Communities Convene COVID-19 Virtual Hackathon
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (OCN), a division of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is partnering with Datavant to convene a COVID-19 Pandemic Response Virtual Hackathon, March 27-29, 2020.
The Pandemic Response Virtual Hackathon aims to bring together the talents of public health professionals and the technology community to better understand and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and future pandemics.
Clinicians, public health professionals, software developers, health IT experts, patient advocacy groups and the general public are all invited to submit innovative solutions and ideas. Hackathon projects will be judged by an interdisciplinary panel of public health, health IT and policy experts.
HHS, Datavant and the other organizational partners are looking for submissions in four tracks:
- Public Health Information Sharing
- Epidemiology and Science of the Disease
- Keeping Health Workers Safe
- Second-Order Societal Impacts.
