. About the Cuddle up & Read programs in San Diego
. How to establish successful community partnerships in order to
create a literacy based program for teen parents and their children
. How to improve their existing literacy based programs for pregnant
and parenting teens.
Presenters: Anna Hartman and Kirby McCurtis.
Anna Hartman is the children’s librarian at the San Diego County Library – La Mesa Branch. In addition to reference work, she is responsible for programming for birth to 5th graders. She works extensively with the local schools and hospital to provide services needed for the community.
Kirby McCurtis is a Youth Services Librarian in the Children’s room at the San Diego Public’s Central Library. She plans programs for the Children’s Room at the Central Library, outreach to local organizations and schools, and serves as the Children’s Reference Librarian at Central Library.
