PubMed Health

PubMed Health is a new consumer health website brought to you by the NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information of the National Library of Medicine). PubMed Health includes information on:
• comparative effectiveness
• diseases and conditions
• drugs and supplements
• first aid and emergencies
• healthy living and
• tests and treatments

The comparative effectiveness research is provided by the Agency for HealthCare Research and Quality. The ADAM Medical Encyclopedia is the source for most of the health topics. The drug information is from the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. Information from ADAM and the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists is also available on MedlinePlus. Other sources of information on PubMed Health include InformedHealthOnline: Fact Sheets and Research Summaries from the German Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care and the PubMed Clinical Q & A: NCBI summaries of comparative effectiveness drug reports.
