The NNLM Evaluation Office (NEO) creates professional development materials to build capacity for evaluation in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM). The NEO believes that using evaluation will help NNLM network members increase engagement and learning about their programs, make good decisions, and enhance the visibility of their successes.
The NEO has four approaches for building evaluation capacity:
- NEO Shop Talk blog, which is a weekly blog post to address evaluation methods, issues or news
- Evaluation Guides (both online and print) that act as primers for planning and evaluating health information programs
- Workshops (online and in-person) that provide training in evaluation methods. Find a list of upcoming trainings under Training Opportunities.
- Tools and Resources guide, which provides links to recommended evaluation tools, from the NNLM, CDC and others
