Middle Atlantic Region
Win. Win. Win. Win. Win. A Major Award for One Regional Medical Library’s Partners, and No NLM Funds Spent!
NLM in Focus
Are you ready for a feel-good story?
It involves public-private partnerships (win) in a culturally and linguistically diverse population (win), culturally competent programming (win), evidence-based medicine (win), and patient-centered communication (win). Oh, and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine’s Middle Atlantic Region (NNLM MAR), headquartered at the University of Pittsburgh, didn’t have to spend a penny.
Join members of the Pennsylvania Community College Library Consortium (PCCLC) at the Harrisburg Area Community College for a half-day of free health programming. Training opportunities on April 27 will include: “Making Sense of Numbers: Understanding Risks & Benefits: Learning How to Communicate Health Statistics” and “Learning to Liaise with Allied Health.” All are welcome to join.
Looking for Funding?
NNLM MAR can offer up to $15,000 for health information projects! Apply by April 17 for projects starting in May. MAR staff members can assist in identifying applicable National Library of Medicine resources. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to set-up a consultation today!
