    • ToxMystery (Grades 1-5+)
      Toxie the Cat helps kids find the hazards hidden in each room and offers hints when needed. Also available in Spanish.
    • Tox Town (Grades 6-12+)
      Designed to give information on everyday locations where you might find toxic chemicals, links to selected, authoritative chemical information on the Web, and how the environment can impact health. Also available in Spanish.
    • Environmental Health Student Portal (Grades 6-8)
      Connecting middle school students to environmental health information. The Web site explores topics such as water pollution, climate change, air pollution, and chemicals.
    • ChemIDplus (Grades 7-12+)
      View and manipulate chemical structures for over 388,000 chemicals. Create SIS and TRANS models, conduct structure similarity searches and view chemical synonyms. 
    • Household Products Database (Grades 6-12+)
      Learn about the potential health effects of chemicals in common household products. 
    • TOXinvaders: Game for iPhone and iPad (Grades 6-12)
      Supports middle school science concepts pertaining to chemistry, the environment, and health. It can serve as an engaging classroom or homework activity for middle and high school students. The game consists of four fast-paced levels, in which a launcher is used to annihilate toxic chemicals falling from the sky and to earn protective shield points by capturing “good chemicals.”
    • ToxLearn and Toxicology Tutorials (Grades 9-12+)
      Written at the introductory college student level and teaches basic toxicology principles.

      ToxLearn is an update to an expansion of the Toxicology Tutors. Module I: Basic Principles and Dose-Response is the first module available.

    Environmental Health and Chemistry Resources for Educators

    • Tox Town-Based For Educators
      Discovering the Connection: Your Environment, Your Health is an afterschool science club curriculum for middle school students. It can also be used in a science classroom or in an interdisciplinary program that connects science and society. The curriculum sequence contains six units that each introduce one environmental health topic and include three to four 50-60 minute lessons.
