Health professionals in Ohio should check with their institutions for library resources. If you do not have access to library services, academic centers may be able to provide access to health-related resources available for your use. In addition, all Ohio residents can access online resources through the Ohio Web Library. The library has limited health resources, including access to the following database:

  • Consumer Health Complete

Residents of Ohio may also have access to OhioLINK, which is a consortium of 121 libraries distributed among 93 Ohio college and university libraries, as well as the State Library of Ohio. In addition, 22 public libraries participate through SearchOhio. Registered users of OhioLINK have access to a virtual statewide library through the State Library’s catalog. Books and audio/video materials that are not available from the State Library of Ohio may be requested from other member libraries.

Note: The Ohio State University provides community outreach services through its Health Sciences Library’s Interlibrary Services department.
